SecureVista Tech was founded by two former integrators who were tired of watching national chains sell generic packages to Austin customers. Fourteen years later, we're still locally owned, still install every job with our own W-2 technicians, and still stand behind every system we put in the ground.
Two technicians, one truck, and a promise.
Before SecureVista Tech, its two founders spent a combined 18 years working for national security integrators. They watched the same pattern repeat over and over: corporate sales teams would quote bloated systems from a catalog, subcontract installation to the lowest bidder, and disappear the moment something broke.
In 2012 they left, bought a used Ford Transit, and started SecureVista Tech with a single promise: install every system with our own licensed technicians, and answer the phone for the life of the equipment.
Fourteen years later, that promise hasn't changed. We've grown to a 14-person team with five installation trucks, but every technician who works on your property is still a SecureVista employee, still licensed with the Texas DPS Private Security Bureau, and still background-checked. We've never subcontracted a single job — not once.

We've never taken outside investment, never franchised, and never opened a second location. Every dollar we've earned has gone back into the Austin operation — better tools, better technicians, better response times.
Marcus Bell and Priya Shah left their jobs at a national security integrator and incorporated SecureVista Tech LLC in February 2012. The original office was a 220-square-foot space above a coffee shop on Burnet Road, with one used truck parked in the alley behind it.
The first six months were almost entirely residential installs — mostly referrals from a handful of early customers in Allandale and Rosedale. The company finished 2012 with 41 completed systems and a 4.9-star average rating.
SecureVista landed its first multi-site commercial contract — a six-location restaurant group across Austin and Round Rock. That job added four new technicians and forced the company to move into a proper 2,400-square-foot warehouse on West 45th Street, where we still operate today.
The same year, the company became an authorized installer for Hikvision and Dahua — a partnership that continues to this day and gives our customers direct access to wholesale pricing on professional-grade hardware.
In August 2017, SecureVista completed its 1,000th installed system — a 14-camera commercial project for a distribution warehouse in Kyle. That same year, the company launched its first maintenance plan offering, which would eventually become one of the most popular parts of the business.
The company also became an authorized installer for Axis Communications and Ubiquiti Networks, rounding out its hardware portfolio to cover nearly every major professional brand in the market.
When the pandemic pushed almost everyone into remote work, our commercial customers suddenly needed the ability to monitor multiple sites from one laptop. We built our own cloud dashboard in partnership with a local software team and launched it in October 2020.
The platform now supports role-based user permissions, cross-site event review, and one-click evidence export — features that enterprise clients had previously only been able to get from $50,000+ national integrator contracts.
After years of customer requests, we added a dedicated access control division — certified installers for Honeywell, Lenel, Genetec, and Brivo platforms. The same year, our Texas DPS Private Security Bureau license was expanded to cover electronic access control as well as surveillance.
By year-end, we had installed our first 20-door enterprise system for a medical office campus in Northwest Austin — a project that took 6 weeks and included full integration with the customer's existing Active Directory.
Today, SecureVista Tech employs 14 full-time staff, operates five installation trucks, and has completed more than 1,840 systems across Travis, Williamson, Hays, and Bastrop counties. We are still entirely owned by our original two founders — no outside investors, no private equity, no franchising.
Our maintenance plan customer base has grown to over 480 active accounts. Our average response time for plan customers is under 8 hours, and our customer satisfaction rating has stayed above 4.8 stars every year since 2014.

18 years in commercial security integration. Marcus handles all commercial proposals personally and still visits every multi-site project before it's quoted.
Priya built our maintenance plan program and now oversees all scheduling, dispatch, and customer support. If you've ever called our office and gotten a real person, that was Priya's team.
Ethan has personally installed more than 900 SecureVista systems. He trains every new technician and sets the standard for how we leave a job site.
Sofia manages every commercial client relationship — from first quote to first maintenance visit. She handles multi-site rollouts and enterprise SLA negotiations.
David leads the access control division and holds certifications on Honeywell, Lenel, Genetec, and Brivo platforms. He handles our most complex enterprise door installations.
Rachel runs our support line and gets most issues solved within a single phone call. She manages our maintenance plan calendar and the quarterly remote health checks.

Every technician is a W-2 employee of SecureVista Tech. We've never subcontracted a job and we never will. You always know who's on your property.

We publish our response times
Our maintenance plans list exact response-time guarantees — 48 hours, 12 hours, or 4 hours depending on tier. We track them and report on them quarterly.
No surprise fees
Every quote includes the exact equipment list, labor, and timeline. We don't add fees after the fact, and we don't quote you hardware we don't intend to install.
You own your equipment
Every system we install is yours from day one. No mandatory monitoring subscriptions, no equipment rental, no early-termination penalties.

Free cameras for local nonprofits
Every year we donate 10 fully-installed camera systems to Austin-area nonprofits, schools, and community organizations that need them but can't afford them.
Technician apprenticeship program
We partner with Austin Community College to hire and train entry-level technicians from the local community — including paid apprenticeships for veterans and career changers.
Emergency response partnership
We're on call for the Austin Police Department's community camera registry — helping homeowners and businesses share critical footage during active investigations at no charge.

No. SecureVista Tech is a wholly independent, locally-owned company based in Austin, Texas. We're not a franchise, not a subsidiary, and not affiliated with any national brand. The two founders still own 100% of the company and work here full-time.
Never. Every technician who works on your property is a W-2 employee of SecureVista Tech, licensed with the Texas DPS Private Security Bureau, and background-checked. We've never subcontracted a job in 14 years of operation — not even during our busiest periods. It's a fundamental part of how we operate.
We're authorized installers for Hikvision, Dahua, Axis Communications, Reolink, Ubiquiti Networks, and Honeywell on the camera side. For access control, we're certified on Honeywell, Lenel, Genetec, and Brivo. For intercoms, we work with Aiphone, Comelit, 2N, and Doorbird. We'll recommend the right brand for your specific needs — never the one with the highest margin.
Yes. We hold Texas DPS Private Security Bureau License #B-12088, which covers both electronic surveillance and access control installation. We carry $2M in general liability coverage plus workers' compensation for every employee. Certificates of insurance are available on request for commercial clients.
Yes — every site walk is completely free with no obligation. We visit the property, document what we find, and deliver a written proposal within 24 hours (residential) or 48 hours (commercial). There's no pressure to move forward and no charge for the visit.
